THEATER ETIQUETTE
We want teachers and students to have a fun, quality experience, to learn something new and that these performances be a jumping off point for further, respectful discussion in the classroom. To insure the best possible experience, we request that you review the following theatre etiquette with students prior to performance:
Most performances will have a 10 minute intermission; the purpose of which is a chance for refreshment and a bathroom break.
PLEASE:
- Remember: this is a Live Theater Experience. We can hear you and so can everyone else; laugh, cry and enjoy yourselves, but talking and other loud noises will disturb and distract other patrons and performers. Please do not whistle or call out comments to the actors.
- Please remain seated during the performance and follow instructions of ushers.
- No food or drink, including gum, is permitted inside the theatre.
- Turn Off (not vibrate) all electrical devices – cell phones, ipods, etc. (no text messaging or games, please). Upon noncompliance, Borderlands Theater reserves the right to confiscate all electronic devices and have them sent to the appropriate principals with postage charged to the offender.
