DONATIONS
WHY DONATE?
You may ask, “Why donate”? Here are just a few of the many reasons why!
Borderlands Theater, founded in 1986, is known nationally and internationally for championing the development and production of new plays which reflect the diverse voices of our region. With a season of plays and programs such as Border Playwrights Project, The U.S./ Mexico Project and the Coyote y Culebra Youth Project, we pledge to explore new ways of bringing theater into your communities.
Ticket revenues make up only 50% of our annual income. The remainder comes from grants, foundations and especially; donations, both big and small, from people like you! Without your support we cannot be true to our mission.
Our work has been seen at major theaters across the country and in Sonora and Mexico City. We have been featured on NPR’s “Theater in America” series, collaborated with the National New Play Network and LARK New Play Development Center and have won important awards from such entities as The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C.
